Hmmmm, I don’t think that either of them would really enjoy having a BIG birthday party, they prefer to celebrate with close friends only! As much as Jon likes being “the center of attention” (as Georgie put it), I think he feels pretty awkward about too many people making a big deal over his birthday. Jon likes attention when they feel like they’ve earned it with a good performance or achievement or a piece of knowledge they can ramble off about whatever, but birthdays just feel like a lot of fuss over nothing to them! So for Jon, it’s a small celebration with close friends at home. Martin likes to go all out cooking a fancy meal for all of them and even baking a cake (Jon insists on helping him with all of it even though he doesn’t want them to, so he usually ends up having to swat them out of the kitchen at least a few times during the day)

As for Martin, he’s actually happiest when he can relax at home and not have to worry about a single thing all day. He’s a real “breakfast in bed” type and Jon likes to spend the day doting on him! They usually go for a walk in the city and eat at whatever little restaurant they feel like for lunch, and then Jon makes a vegan beef Wellington for dinner (his favorite dish)! Tim and Sasha usually drop off a pie for him and stick around to have a slice, but that’s all the “party” he really cares for 😁

HMMM!!! There’s a lot of crossover in these so I’m just gonna talk! :D

I have a ton of difficulty writing the kids, I’m not gonna lie. They just feel real babie. Shinsou (or my version of him) was a little easier because his suffering is so tangible. I can just FEEL the surly guardedness, the disappointment, and the way it inches away to reveal the absolutely snotty brat underneath once he’s given an inch of room to be himself ... but Midoriya is just kind of a snapshot of “ANXIETY!!!! PASSION!!! GONNA HERO!!!”

Bakugou is surprisingly easy for me to write because of his defensiveness, but I don’t enjoy it. His journey isn’t one that I sync with because I’m allergic to anger (and working on it, fine). It’s always been a trauma-related sin for me, growing up -- ie, people can do whatever they want to you but for gods sake don’t be mad about it, getting angry is poisonous and makes you ugly -- so it makes me super uncomfortable to write about at length.

Obviously I play with the adults 1000% more, so I’m gonna say? I love writing Mic. Like. WOW. I love his secret softness, I love his struggle with Public Persona Present Mic versus Hizashi, I love the hcs that he’s autistic and deaf or hoh. There’s just so much to explore with him primarily because he’s a character who is always on the sidelines in the show, watching and seeing more than anyone suspects.  It’s a selfish and touchy love, though, because he’s one of those characters that he’s SO MUCH, SO LOUD, and if I don’t agree with the characterization in a given piece i’ve gotta nope out and sometimes I yell at the screen HAHAHA I GET SO ANGRY???? i am way too invested

I LOVEEEEE writing Midnight, but at the same time she’s a challenge for me because it’s a balance between wish fulfillment and honesty/realism.

Like, I gotta keep in mind “this is what I’d want her to say and do for ME” is not always in line with “this is a person who uses her dominance to help and soothe but also has worries and needs and an intense internal life and can feel helpless like anyone else”. She has to have flaws, she can’t just be cuddling me???? and telling me I’m a good girl always??? why

In an upcoming chapter of BnB, she shows an ugly side of herself and it’s almost physically painful for me to write. Her sin is that of arrogance, or anger, and her Domme persona leads to her acting on that arrogance and it bleeds into her civilian life in unhealthy ways, especially when she’s uncomfortable or hurting. And the fact she kinda lashes out at Hizashi is just ... ughhh. Pain.

Huh....I have that happen to my feet, but only in the summer...never had it on my hands. Didn’t know there was anything to be done about it!

If you’re in the US, Lachydrin lotion for lactic acid and Gold Bond Ultimate Softening Foot Cream for uric acid (listed as urea in the ingredients -- urea and uric acid aren’t the same but they have the same effect in this case) are the easiest to find. Also keeping your skin super dry helps, although I found when I was swimming more often that chlorine-treated water didn’t affect it the way tap water did.
