Ingredients: 4 bratwurst sausages. 1 cup macaroni pasta. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup beer your choice. 2 large onions, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons butter. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. 1/2 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional.
Instructions: Boil the macaroni pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they start to caramelize, about 15-20 minutes. While the onions are caramelizing, grill or pan-fry the bratwurst sausages until cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted. Slowly pour in the beer while stirring continuously. Continue to cook until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
