#bee ring

Thank you to @yellowdressesandyearning for posting about the Bridgerton x Pandora collab. I lost my mind when I saw the pearl flower and mixed metal bee ring.

To me, it’s perfect: the pearl flower looks so much like Penelope’s engagement ring, paired with the iconic Bridgerton bee (love fully today, for tomorrow is never guaranteed).

But it’s more than just fandom for me. In my mother’s homeland, the Philippines – the Pearl of the Orient Sea – pearls hold immense cultural significance, symbolising both love and wealth. I have fond memories of my mum teaching me how to tell real pearls from fake and how to care for them. Pearls will always be my favourite gem.

The Dance Card Charm: I couldn’t resist the adorable pencil. It makes me think of Pen at all those balls, yearning her heart out with an empty dance card.

The Bestie Charms: I grabbed the green Featherington butterfly and the blue Bridgerton bee to represent BFFs Penelope and Eloise. Since I mostly wear gold, the green charm has been getting lots of wear as a necklace on my favourite gold chain.

Each ring is hand cast in epoxy resin dyed yellow with a hint of golden sparkle from @solarcolordust. This isn't ordinary glitter; these ultrafine particles are 10-60 microns (and because they're mixed into the resin, they won't flake off everywhere!) After the resin is poured, delicate, golden bee and honeycomb decals are carefully inserted into the mold. While they are initially spaced evenly around the band, once inside the mold, the bees shift around because the resin is still liquid, so please expect your bees and honeycombs to be in a somewhat random pattern.

Due to their light weight, delicate design, and low cost, these rings make ideal gifts for children, though they are suitable for anyone who likes bees or just pretty, unique jewelry! I offer whole sizes 3-16 so I can accommodate most hands.
