I'd just finished shooting for @betterhomesandgardens and featured this #dwell comforter. I hauled it back and forth and then looked at it again. We should shoot some bed shots I thought. Let's feature some original art from local Minneapolis painter @caitlin_karolczak (lower, center swipe to see close up) The other art is found so if you know who it is dm me please and I'll tag if possible. // There are imperfections here and there but that's what I love about real interiors. It's all about the shadows and the happy markings of reality. See the deep shadows from the vintage Scandinavian side table on the right? The scoop on the wood top was what grabbed my attention. Moulded light wood is so on trend right now - anything with a curve. // Just this week I was chatting with @williefarradmullins @bigleopproductions about bed styling. I've never been one for perfect beds because they don't look comfortable to me. I've styled probably nearly 1000 beds and my favorites are always the relaxed beds with a dose of reality. Hi guys! It’s been a while since I shared the tips and tricks for your kids’ rooms. Let me know if you’d like more of them! When choosing bed linen for the room it’s a good idea to think about your base and then layer on some patterns and colours. So if your walls are bright or patterned I’d go for calmer bed linen and vice versa - for neutral background it’s easy to introduce some pattern and colour. If your little one’s bed is placed against a feature wall and you’d like to use patterned cushions and bed covers make sure they are broken up by plain block colours. Think how your bed cover would work with your bed linen, cushions, throws, etc. Try to reference your bed cover colours with linen and cushions and break up the patterns to create matching combinations. Don’t forget to do this with a couple of linen sets so that everything still looks good when you change the bed linen 🧐😊 Dear followers, do you find such posts useful?
