Ooooh Bath is on my list of places to see on my (pretty sure/really hoping to go) trip to England next summer. Anywhere else in England you especially recommend?
Ooh, I hope you get to go! I have by no means seen all of England, and I don't know how long of a trip you are planning, but I would recommend:
several days in London, which is pretty inexhaustible in terms of what it offers
Bath (especially if you like Jane Austen)
The Lake District (be sure to take at least one hike there, it's really beautiful)
The Peaks (again, nice for hikes, and there are always hikes of various lengths and levels of difficulty)
Yorkshire, including Haworth (especially if you like (any of) the Brontës)
Also, if you are not limited to England but are visiting the UK overall and have enough time, I would highly recommend the parts of Scotland I've been to:
The Outer Hebrides (or, failing that, Skye, where I haven't been)
I hear that Wales is nice, too, but I haven't been there since I was 6 so I only have dim memories of it (which include a beach covered with jellyfish, learning what "single file" meant, and my little brother throwing my beloved teddy bear out the window of a little sightseeing train (don't worry, the bear was recovered and is with me in London right now!)).Â
