12. Is the way your muse sees themselves similar to how others see them or is it (very) different, due to mental illness/keeping secrets/etc.?

Arella can be seen as a bit cold at times, sorta like a “no fun allowed”-type of person, but also very proud and strong. You get the feeling she knows what she’s doing, she got determination to pull through everything to reach her goal. She is self confident. Those who are closer to her know more silly sides of her most likely, but that’s it in general.

She sees herself as someone who needs to protect those weaker than her, give a voice to those who doesn’t have one. She IS quite self confident, really, most of the time anyway even though she got her own insecurities. She is a perfectionist, and never quite feel good enough. She’s strong - but not strong enough, and what else.

She’s wary, and worried, and a bit scared to let people too close since she worry about losing them… So how she sees herself is a bit different from how others see her, but not dramatically so.

It is mostly a question of her being more emotional and caring (and having weaknesses haha) and what not than she likes to show.

14. Do they take control or give control or do they believe in sharing power? What are their thoughts on control versus submission (either sexually or in relationships in general)? What do they think of authority?

Arella often takes control of situations she’s put in, she’s a bit of a natural leader like that. Sometimes she might even come off as bossy since she usually have a pretty clear overall picture of things and how she think they should be done.

She will still listen to others suggestions regarding things, and may also take a step back if someone older with more experience step up for the role (I’m thinking rebel/team-situation now, since she’s part of a young rebel-cell), but she will still make sure to have her voice heard. Arella is not scared of questioning authority.

In general though, she believes in a sort of shared power? There can be a leader, but they must take the others in consideration too…

When it comes to relationships she’s a bit like always, but in no way controlling of her partner, while still pretty dominant. Sexually I can’t speak for since she got no experience, but I imagine it’d be a shifty thing. Atm she’s rather uncomfortable thinking about it.

18. What skills does your muse have and how did they come to have them? Was it hard work to learn them? What do they use their skills for? Are there any skills your muse wishes they had?

Arella got quite a lot of… Skills..? Like, fighting, leadership and a lot of survival knowledge, parkour etc. A lot of these skills she came over during her early flarp days, and/or because she simply wanted to learn and her lusus always was pushing for her to be stronger and more competent with fighting and so on.

I’d say she’s worked hard on mastering the majority of it, but she didn’t see it like that as young since it was more for fun back then. She enjoys learning new things in general too.

19. How concerned are they with their appearance and how do they regard the appearance of others? Do they find it important? Do they enjoy aesthetically pleasing people?

She is conflicted about it! On one hand, she’s not too concerned, she runs around in simple pants and a t-shirt or a hoodie most of the time. But at the same time she doesn’t like showing herself off all that much and she has a habit of hiding her arms…

She got her days when she cares way more than she likes to admit, honestly. She secretly kind of enjoys looking pretty, but it’s “unconvenient” for her. Or so she think.

Pearla

12. Is the way your muse sees themselves similar to how others see them or is it (very) different, due to mental illness/keeping secrets/etc.?

Most trolls would see Pearla as kind of… Awkward, shy and adorable I think, if not a bit weak. Some might even think she’s a crybaby. Others think she’s nice.

Pearla sees herself as rather pathetic, but she tries to be strong. She knows she’s cute, but got days when she find herself ugly - and a misplaced comment about her appearance can easily make her feel worse etc.

So… Not very different no, but a bit. Her self image is a bit more negative than the image I feel most trolls I’ve played her against have.

Pearla is very much a follower and kinda meek so she will most of the time give control and be quite submissive in general. She might want to please others a bit too much sometimes, and it can make saying no hard for her. She’s naive and easily manipulated, even when she does say no.

Pearla looks up to authority generally and follows it without questioning much.

18. What skills does your muse have and how did they come to have them? Was it hard work to learn them? What do they use their skills for? Are there any skills your muse wishes they had?

She’s… Ridiculously good at blowing bubbles..? That’s a thing…… But that one she got kinda naturally. :P

She’s can identify almost all types of sea shells by name… And she can easily tell the quality of different pearls apart and if they are false or not. This she has learned by experience.

Hmm… She’s also quite good at putting together little necklaces different kinds of handmade jewelry together, so she’s a bit creative. This she’s worked hard for though, she’s come a long way from the first ones she made and enjoys showing her creations off… Although she has a hard time parting with anything she makes, despite the interest she keep receiving from those who wish to buy from her. 

19. How concerned are they with their appearance and how do they regard the appearance of others? Do they find it important? Do they enjoy aesthetically pleasing people?

Pearla is very concerned with her appearance honestly. She feel like her pretty face is one of the few things she got going for herself, and does her best to always be dolled up in pretty clothes, fixed hair and the right amount of make-up.
