gods, i know there is a lot of jokes about stephen being a psychopath, but he was very considerate trying to lay off daniel while recounting what we undoubtedly a very upsetting situation to him. jay however? he went for the jagular and i am very thankful for it
The thing is, they had been friends for. What, 8 years? A bit more?
With Jay i understand him being more direct about the whole general situation, because when youve only known a person for one year and then had a disconnection for 2 years because of differences in schedule its understadable to not have that strong of a friendship where your emotions kind of take a back seat, and its easier to realize they fucked up big time.
However, Stephen and daniel have been (on Stephen perspective, because im now doubting daniel ever saw him as a friend) friends for a huge amount of years.
Listen, not to put myself as an example, but even now i get a bit defensive when people bad mouth the friend that left me for her boyfriend.
And what daniel did to Stephen is worse. Is so much worse. God now that Jay shared what he found on his investigation we Know daniel didnt even considered Stephen from the beggining. He never even considered it as an option because to daniel Stephen just wasnt important enough.
It sucks! And im glad Stephen was able to get out of there, because its now obvious Stephen considered daniel a friend far more than he considered Stephen one.
Im glad Jay could talk about this more openly and without feeling he needed to defend daniel or protect him in some way. Because to be honest? Someone needed to, and Stephen and Hosuh arent going to be brutally honest about this, just because of the friendship they all used to have
