Alastor, Charlie and Emily time travel AU
Thinking of actually writing a fic, gang. What do we think?
Summary: Emily doesn’t manage to save Alastor and, instead, both of them, and Charlie, die. At least, Alastor thought they died. Only he wakes up on Earth on the day he made his deal with Rosie. Deciding to save himself a headache, Alastor decides to not make a deal this time. When he still dies the same way, and ends up in Hell as a deer and Radio Demon but without his shadow powers, Alastor elects to use what has always been his greatest strength: his voice.
But he’s surprised to find not everything is as it was. For one, this time his demon form has a tail, Charlie seems to actively seek him out every so often, and a much younger Emily keeps portaling into Hell to talk to them. Turns out Alastor wasn’t the only one to go back in time, and he,Charlie and Emily refuse to let everything go as it once did.
AKA: the fic where Alastor doesn’t make a deal but still becomes powerful, Charlie becomes the princess she was always meant to be and maybe even fixes her family, and Emily tries to prevent the Exterminations from ever becoming.
I might start by just posting random scenes and ficlets and asks and stuff here to get used to the characterisation and figure out what the plot is, and then once I have an idea of that, write a full version for AO3. I don't have any romantic ships in mind at the minute, but I do imagine Alastor will end up becoming friends with Lilith and frenemies with Lucifer. I also plan to still have him get Niffty's soul. IDK what I'm doing with Husk yet. I think i'll probably keep Charlie and Vaggie together but I'm not 100% sure. Also Alastor will have all the girl besties. I do think Vox and Alastor will be kept mostly the same only with a twist, they're still rivals and stuff, but Vox might actually be even more obsessed with Alastor if you can believe it, because here Alastor seems less physically powerful, but is still rejecting Vox, and he can't figure out why. But I might eventually have Alastor from some form of friendship/frenemy relationship with Velvette. He's also going to become somewhat friends with Rosie. Of course, there are no friends in Hell, but we all know Alastor is one of the girls, so yes I am going to give him all the girl besties. Asexual Alastor, probably somewhere on the aromantic spectrum but, since I haven't decided romantic ships, he may end up with someone. IDK yet.
Edit: I'm thinking of changing Alastor's demon form to look more like human Alastor. Mostly brown curly hair with brown ears, same skin tone as living Alastor, the tail Vox said he didn't have. Not as terrifying, and just say it's because he didn't make the deal. We're gonna lean more into the deer thing than the radio thing, but keep his radio powers because I do think he'd have them. He won't have his shadow powers in this one though. I'm exploring the idea or a more subtle manipulation-based Alastor, rising to power using his words, radio show and manipulations rather than physical power. Think Alastor observing, pretending to befriend people, turning them against each other, learning their secrets, blackmailing them, making deals to increase power, stuff like that. A slower rise to power than in canon but using the powers, abilities and skills he's always had.
