Hello, and thanks for the ask! Happy STS!

So, I'm a Bad Writer in the sense that I only write when I have the motivation, which is very rarely. I really need to work on that, but now with classes and ADHD, it's not getting any easier.

In general, I tend to be most productive in the late afternoon, on days that I am productive at all. But that's not a rule by any means, and I have written at all hours of the day. In fact, the first two drafts of my favorite scene ever were written between 3am and 5am in one sitting. (I literally got out of bed to write in the middle of the night.)

How was your birthday this year?

It was okay! Fairly quiet, which is fine. My friend gifted me some really cute art of an official pair, which was my phone’s background for a long time!!

The Clearing was the only real marker that time was moving in a somewhat forward fashion. Sometimes Everly felt like the world was frozen. And yet, at the same time, she couldn’t believe the hundred years she’d been cursed with were almost up. It all blurred together. And also every single day felt perfectly portioned out and hung on a string that trailed behind her everywhere she went. She often felt like she was tangled in it.

19. — fireworks

There is excitement in her eyes, in her expression--in her voice that Sorrel hadn’t seen nor heard in such a long time. Once, she had seemed so far away, distant and tired, and now, she’s just outside their bedroom, gathering up the explosives Zephyr had called fireworks.

It’s just about time, he thinks, as he almost begrudgingly forces himself out of bed. He’d figured that, perhaps, it would be best to allow Aster to light them off--let the colors dance on her face, let her watch in glee and awe.

Of course, the commotion of Aster getting ready to go out to join in on the celebration wakes their little one up, who only half tumbles out of her room and rubbing her eyes. Sorrel goes to help her get dressed.

Most normal people would still be asleep at this hour, but they’re not normal. They never have been quite been normal--and he’s okay with that.

Once they’re all ready and bundled up, and their daughter sits upon his shoulders, the three of them make their way outside. The celebration has already begun--it had just a few hours ago--and Sorrel can’t quite blame his people for jumping on the excitement of being able to have some fun in what had been such a silent land just five years prior.

“Ready?” Aster asks as she had placed most of them down.

“Be my guest,” Sorrel answers, just as quietly. With a snap of her fingers, one by one, they start to go off--lighting up their dark sky with those bright colors he had once witnessed in awe so long ago. And of course, Aster lightly grabs at his hand.

Duncan is an excellent pianist, and he also has a lovely singing voice, though he's self-conscious about his voice.

Moira, who I think I'm cutting from the story, plays the violin.

I can picture either Theo or Dorian liking to draw and having a sketchbook. (I feel like Dorian is more the organized sketchbook kind, while Theo would just doodle on the edges of any paper they get their hands on.)

God, I have no idea on this one. I feel like all of my characters would get sick of the same meal over and over again after a while. And for the only one(s) whose favorite foods I know, they either A) have bad memories with said food (Fallon) or B) it's a whole category (Kristopher). And the whole reason Fallon's favorite food is very favorite is because it was a special treat. Eating it every day would take away the specialness.
