I KNOW!!!!! I need to see if I can get it in ebook. He was really nice and funny when I met him and I usually agree with his takes on history in pop culture (and his podcast is excellent) so it’ll be cool to read his actual history!

Oh I had no idea it was an Andrew Davies series. I hate to say it bc I do still love his Pride and Prejudice, but that kind of explains it. I’m planning on watching the rest of the series because my mum seems interested in it, and I am vaguely invested in Miss Lambe and those weird siblings but I’m not optimistic.

some things i like V V Much are her kindness & sweet nature, her feminine aesthetique, wit + sense of humour & fun, her MIND!!!, her dark hair & Faire Complexion + eyes + smile + [redacted], her thoughtfulness & capacity for empathy, how knowledgable she is about so many things can’t narrow it down further im afraid so there we are. slightly cringe showing emotion on main but sometimes it must be done

Yes!! I finished the book like two days before Harlots aired and I remember watching the first episode and feeling like even though that was a non-fiction history book and this was a fictional tv show, I was somehow watching that book come to life onscreen
