SO IT HAPPENED

The Hobbit happened, at midnight, it was awesome

and i got to do it, i got to show the world that i love The Hobbit and the Dwarves SO MUCH

i got two people who actually said something- the dude at the counter said he liked my beard and some guy that came in during the previews was like "heeeyyyy"

it was awesome

i made sooooooo many people uncomfortable

it was awesome

AND BALIN

AND DORI

AND ORI

AND BIFUR

AND THORIN HUGGED BILBO

and i was misty eyed through the entire movie, even the parts where crying was not an appropriate reaction, but it was i guess, 'cause i'm being reintroduced to the characters i've loved so much for so many years

and here's where i get sappy:

thank you, Sis, for refusing to read stories to me at a certain age so i'd get mad and with some coaxing from Dad learn how to read by myself out of spite

thank you for browbeating me into reading The Hobbit so you could have someone to fangirl with

thank you for not beating me to a bloody pulp for dog-earing all the pages in your books

no but seriously, you've never steered me wrong when recommending a book, and this book has been kind of an integral part of our sisterly bond
