Hello Tumblr! I've been working on this original animated short for a few years now and it's finally ready to show. I really hope you enjoy it. Lots of hand drawn and also puppet digital animation at work in tandem here!
Title Screen for my cartoon! I’m hoping to post the cartoon itself next month. I want to take one more pass on the compositing before I let it loose. It’s a good 3 years of work from me, I really want it to count for something when it’s out there.
Animated vignette 3 of 3!Â
Another storybook-style animation for my Rakitty & Bearcoon project. For this one I had help with clean up animation and coloring from @jareddrawsthings ! Working in teams makes such a huge difference in workflow!

The finished scene! If you enjoy this, please let me know and spread the word. There’s going to be a lot more of this throughout the year.
The final scene I’m working on for now involves a series of cute vignettes that take after the “World 1 - Green Greens” style title cards you see in various Kirby games. In this one, Bearcoon gets angry at a camera drone. I REALLY like it so far and I still have more frames to add! Her little jump and subsequent temper tantrum are pretty dear to me, I hope you like this early peek.
For the final shots of “Part 1″ of Rakitty & Bearcoon, I want them to appear something like this - cute, simple shapes that read like video game sprites. Specifically calling the look of Kirby’s Dream Land 3. So I’m favoring very chalky, rough brushes. These are all from one of Frenden’s Manga Studio brush sets. Which ones do you like? I’m favoring Leaky Rough Opaque or Link Jagger. Might go with a mix of both.
