long story short he lost his arm, something that was foreshadowed endlessly, and it was a perfect opportunity to inspire disabled kids (especially kids with one arm) because they rarely get any representation in media
but instead of doing anything with it…they gave his arm back in an anticlimatic way and basically ripped that representation away
