Lemar watch his best friend in the Captain America uniform with a smirk on his face he had to admit he did made the whole thing look good and he was really happy to be there to witness John become the man he already knew he was. “You know mom is dying to see you right?” He asked him smiling.

She takes the end of her paintbrush, whacking the wood against the mans hand to stop him from touching the large drying painting.

“Don't fucking touch that.” She hissed. “That's worth more than anyone in this facility, you included.”

john tapped his fingers against the shield, deep in thought. he considered the other’s words, but he wouldn’t change his mind. once he had his mind set on something, there was no stopping him. he lifted his head, shrugging. “ no, i know what i must do. there’s nothing you can do to change my mind. ”

“Oh, I know quite a few ways I could stop you, if changing your mind is out of the question, so I would ask you again to reconsider the path you have chosen. Ultimately, it is not my job to make sure you people play nice, but if your path were to alter reality, create disturbance in the multiverses, I would have no other choice but intervene. So please, take another moment, I have time” 

“You need to change it, this is ridiculous.”

“WOW,” she scoffed, laughing with a shake of her head. “You guys really don’t know that much about me, do you?”

The shapeshifter let out a sigh, leaning back in her seat as she looked Walker up and down, gauging his body language, trying to pick apart why he was asking.

The mutant pursed her lips a little bit and tilted her head from side to side, considering her answer. Obviously in this situation, it would be the smarter thing to lie, but... Well, being put in a less-than-savoury situation had her in a much sassier mood.
