The Underworld had a fuzzy sense of time. Sometimes he caught memories of future events. And histories of events yet unwritten. It wasn’t his job to sort through these visions. The souls he touched and guided normally went on their way without clinging to them. But sometimes he caught a sense of what was to come.

He sometimes caught a flash of Persphone’s aether, broken beyond repair, in the body of a quaint little lizard. Her adventures ricocheted through the Underworld’s past and the future, never lingering enough for him to make sense of, but leaving enough of an impression.

#.txt #arcane #i love when u get glimses nd hints to her emotions #bc shes so closed off #bc she has to #nd then u get to see her anger come pit when her moms here #or her annoyance or upset come out when shes painting after jayce leaves her the nxt morning #THT SCENE ESPECIALLY #bc look #she grew up in a family tht held different ideals than her so then she was casted out to a new place where she was alone #she was new and had to start everything over again #she probably carries so much loneliness in her #nd she then learns tht in order to get by nd to get wht she wants she needs to be closed off she needs to put a wall up #then she meets jayce nd pits tht wall down a lil bit nd allows hersef to b vulnerable #then he leaves her alone the nxt morning nd it prob brought back tons of negative emotions #she goes to paint out her feelings nd even the usage of the color red in her painting gives a glimse into how shes feeling #but she then very quickly shows compassion and care when she finds out why he left her #nd then even in tht scene u see more of a wall come down nd im just #im obsessed #as much as i dnt like jayce he rly gives her this space to kind of let hersef be more vulnerable bc hes more open w his feelings which #gives her the opportunity to explore being open w her feelings too #when he layed his head in her lap she was like 'what is he doing' but then it also aided in her feeling a bit more safe nd comfy #GAHHHHHH #why must jayce be the way he is #i hate him but im obsessed w his dynamic w mel this is wht torture feels like
