bruh my laptop was barely 3 years old and i just ????? what goes so wrong in just 3 years i crie. geek squad is a bit of a joke? they don’t do things well a lot of the time, some of their techs are decent but most of them don’t really know what they’re doing.

@rinnesharingans You can take out the hard drive and hook it up to your new computer and look through your files. You'll just need a hard drive docking station

7. Where did the title come from?

We Were Emergencies by Buddy Wakefield

I LIVE for Buddy Wakefield’s poetry, it’s so amazing and when I was searching for a title for this fic, I heard this poem and just knew it had to be the one because so much of it speaks to Kakashi’s journey. Just listen to it, it’s so awesome :)

11. What do you like best about this fic?

Hands down, Asuna’s friendship with Genma. Originally, they weren’t meant to be as close as they were - they were meant to be rivals, sort of antagonistic to each other, but they just clicked so well that they pretty much were like “fuck you Katie we’re besties get on board” and ya know what? I did. Literally every scene with them just flowed so well it was like they were sitting next to me and I was just writing down what I heard them say.

The best part, though, is how well they evolved over the course of the story. I put them through some shit and they came out the other side stronger than ever my precious babies <3

12. What do you like least about this fic?

That I chose to pair Asuna with Kakashi. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, I love them together, and she really does bring out the best in him, but good lord the chemistry Asuna had with Genma made me want to put her on hold for him and come up with another OC for Kakashi XD

At the same time tho, I’m also really glad I didn’t, and you’ll see why ;)

13. What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?

15. What did you learn from writing this fic?

So much. This was not only the first fanfic I’ve ever posted anywhere for anyone to read, it’s also the first one I’ve ever completed, and I feel like I really came into my own as a writer with it. I figured out my writing style, my process, how to deal with multiple characters, and how to build deep, platonic relationships.

And most importantly, I learned to trust my characters. They run wild sometimes, but they know what they’re doing and they want to help me get them where they’re supposed to be. (which should make no sense - I’m the writer, I get final say, but I swear it’s like these characters just take over my body sometimes goodness gracious)
