Okay, so Sundayâs episode...
Iâm so annoyed that DaâVonne didnât bother to check with David and just took Dani and Ratcoleâs word as fact.Â
I found it weird that they didnât air any discussion about the nominations, and instead brought up Ratcoleâs flip vote, and Christmas and DaâVonneâs Have-not problem.
THE HAVE-NOTS ISSUE though...... The fact that Christmas was upset that the person she nominated for eviction alongside her best friend had the âaudacityâ to make her a have-not is the most absurd piece of bullshit I have ever seen. Itâs like the Karen vs the N-word conversation. BEING A HAVE-NOT IS NOT THE SAME AS BEING NOMINATED TO LEAVE THE FUCKING SHOW!!! I feel like the moment was blown up so that production could try to make the have-nots thing more relevant because quite honestly, I donât know why weâre supposed to care who gets to eat hot food, when we rarely see anyone eat.
I found it funny that Ratcole seemingly instantly wanted to leave the bathtub when Dani and Christmas wanted to have a woman win. Itâs like other women really make her uncomfortable. Also, I found it funny how that scene played out seeing as 4 other women were out of the house within 5 weeks, and the one person not in that bathtub with them is black.
When I say this show is racist, I donât mean that houseguests are going out of their way to say racist things (although we have had that in the past on the show and there were some offbeat comments made this season). I also donât mean the only disparity in the house is race; we have issues involving homophobia, sexism, and ableism as well. All of this is happening on a systemic level even on the show. I like to describe the casting as a microcosm of America. We have our white males calling the shots on the top, the white females following their orders, and then the rest of the minorities are being picked off one by one. Itâs not racist to nominate a black woman for eviction, but you have to think what led the white houseguests to creating a 6 person alliance with NO other minorities?
