Delirious always screws over Vanoss.
And Vanoss always screws over Delirious.
They both make it easy for each other to do this. The thing about this is that one is unknowingly doing this, while the other is completely aware of it. Lol.

Hey wow I hate this
I just made a massive foreshadowing connection but it takes a bit of wind to read so it’ll be under the cut. But it all starts with a collar.
The differences in the Radiant Garden castle between KH1 and KH2 is so weird. Like in 1 we got the basement, the library, the rail car thingy room, the rooms Dark Riku and Dragon Maleficent where fought, and the room Sora stabbed himself in. We never see any of that in any other game. In 2 we just got some wrecked hallways, Ansem's office, and the computer room.
I know Maleficent changed some stuff when she took over, but seeing the worst looking version in 1 makes me wonder what all those locations exclusive to 1 look like when fully restored and back to the way things were in BbS. I just really want a detailed map that shows the whole castle with the proper layout and what leads where and what purpose all these rooms had.
Hollow Bastion in KH1 is eerily beautiful and I can only imagine how magnificent the whole castle interior must actually be when returned to its former glory.
I'm not sure if it was ever addressed but where did Terra and Aqua come from? I've heard they've been training with Eraqus since they were little but do we know anything about their lives before that? And when did Eraqus start training them? I'm guessing he chose them both as his successor but like HOW did he get them? Did, did he kidnap them or something?? Also Terra didn't seem too concerned with finding Riku's parents. Do keyblade wielders just go around kidnapping children? Is that a thing??
I actually have headcanons about Terra and Aqua's backstories, lol.
But anyway, we don't know! There is just absolutely nothing that we know. I don't recall a single thing ever being mentioned about when Eraqus started training them, but then again I easily forget small details and them being little when they started getting trained by him seems perfectly reasonable to me.
But like, if you think it about hard enough there's a few possibilities on how it could have gone. Like Eraqus being away from The Land of Departure for whatever reason and meeting them when they were kids and just being like "Ah yes, student material. I'll be taking that". Or like one of their parents being a Keyblade wielder that knows Eraqus and wanting him to teach their kid(s). Or they could have somehow drifted through the Lanes Between and just ended up in TLoD. And since there's two of them it could be a combination of different reasons!
But I mean, this is Eraqus we're talking about. He made some bad decisions but I'm sure legit kidnapping children is an obviously bad thing in his book.
And like, as for with Riku, I'm sure Terra, and I guess Aqua by extension, didn't see anything wrong with Riku(and Sora) hanging out outside by himself. Depending on where you are in the world it's possible for little kids playing outside alone to just not be cause for concern. And I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm pretty sure I recall something about Riku's dad being that takes him and Sora out to the island so their parents likely have no problem with them being out there. Don't take my word on that tho, I have a shit memory and it likes to make up stuff.
Anyway, there's also the fact that despite we as the player never see the main island from the small island, it's still quite literally right there practically off the shore so there's no false perception(in-game) that the kiddos are on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere(despite some early Riku dialogue in KH1, but it might have been the main island he was referring to, who knows). So, I'm sure to Terra it just looked like a little kid hanging out alone with his friend not too far from home.
