* Here are a couple detail pics of my Peace Quilt, I'm using #instinctualstitching to put my quilt together and as embellishment. I started this little blanket of comfort on February 24th when Ukraine was invaded. Besides everything else disturbing that's been going on, I needed something to keep my hands busy and my mind focused on the stitching rather than the news. It's been a great help to me, that's why I call it the Peace Quilt. I've always wanted to take quilting courses, but the precise cutting of fabric was daunting to me. It seemed a little too close to trying to attain perfection, which you know isn't my thing. So I decided to make my own quilt without planning or expectations and I absolutely love the process. I feel it's a good illustration of all the chaotic feelings I was having.
