Peringati Hari Sumpah Pemuda, BBDC dan BRI Regional Office Denpasar Gelar Donor Darah
BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, DENPASAR - Bali Blood Donor Cummunity (BBDC) bersama BRI Regional Office Denpasar melaksanakan kegiatan donor darah pada Sabtu (28/10/2023) di Arshika Bali Sunset Road. Kegiatan donor darah yang dilaksanakan dalam rangka Hari Sumpah Pemuda ke-95 bertajuk ‘Donor Darah Sebagai Gaya Hidup Sehat dengan Semangat Sumpah Pemuda’. Tercatat ada sebanyak 163 orang yang mendaftar untuk melakukan donor darah namun yang berhasil melakukan donor setelah melakukan cek kesehatan sebanyak 123 orang, sementara 40 orang gagal karena kondisi kesehatan baik tensi, HB-nya tinggi atau rendah. Ketua BBDC, Ngurah Agung Mulyahartha mengatakan, BBDC beranggotakan 150 orang yang aktif melakukan donor whole blood dan donor apheresis. “Kami sesama anggota ada ikatan dalam suka maupun duka. Komunitas ini juga sekaligus merupakan bentuk tali kasih apabila ada salah satu anggota yang sakit atau meninggal,” ujarnya. Dengan tema setetes darah menyambung nyawa ini, melakukan kegiatan donor dengan sukarela tanpa berharap imbalan. “Namun kami sangat menghargai niat baik para dermawan yang memberikan bingkisan sebagai ucapan tanda terima kasih kepada pendonor,” ujar Mulyahartha yang sudah mendapatkan Satya Lancana Sosial dari Presiden Jokowi pada tahun 2017 itu. Regional CEO BRI Denpasar, Recky Plangiten mengapresiasi kegiatan kemanusiaan yang dilakukan BBDC. Kegiatan ini pun sejalan dengan Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) dari BRI di bidang sosial. Selain itu, bertepatan dengan Hari Sumpah Pemuda, kegiatan donor darah ini diharapkan dapat memantik semangat kemanusiaan untuk dapat saling tolong menolong. “Kegiatan ini selaras dengan tujuan Perusahaan untuk menciptakan keberlangsungan hidup yang sehat dan berkelanjutan bagi semua pihak dengan semangat BRI melayani nasabah,” ujarnya. Ketua PDDI Bali, Ketut Pringgantara pun turut mengapresiasi kegiatan donor darah bersama Bank BRI. I started driving lessons at BBDC!
After alot of reading, I decided to enrol online at Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC).
Initially I wanted to go down to the centre to avoid the $3 online enrollment fee, but in the end I enrolled online first because you can book your theory lessons right away.
There are some changes from my experience regarding the booking system:
- you can block book as many times in a week as you want, so long as the total number of block booked practical sessions are 23 and below. They encourage you to block book 23 practicals in advance as the schedule is packed.
When I finally got to practical booking (26 August 2020), the next set of available slots was in January 2021.
But fret not, if you don’t mind the hassle of checking the system for any open slots every morning 8.30 - 9.30 am, those where people cancelled last minute under ‘try-sell’, or cancelled in advance, you can pick those up. But most of them could be on the peak timeslots (those that are not 1, 4, 6). If you have alot of time and aren’t working, pick the non-peak timeslots to save money, as the difference is $9!
