Clearly I’m not very good at stylized text but here’s Douglas!
Our first look at Iain De Caestecker in BBC One's 'Us', a four-part adaptation of David Nicholls’ novel of the same name. Premiering this Sunday at 9pm.
Iain plays Young Douglas, an introverted scientist whom we see in flashbacks. He is the younger version of Tom Hollander’s character, who first meets his future wife Connie at a dinner party.
Maybe we should go away somewhere together. The trouble with going away is, you have to come back. That’s true.
the bbc one 9pm sunday drama slot really said iain de caestecker rights

Well, Iain is killing me again! I already knew i’d like him in anything but I was not prepared for the absolute delight that he is Us and how much I would love the love story of young Douglas and Connie <3 And he’s apparently getting all the praises as young Douglas so keeping my fingers crossed that someone out there will see him, see his incredible potential at both comedy and drama and give that boy the lead in a rom com he deserves and we all badly need!
just finished episode three of Us - only have one more to go! my goodness, can Iain De Caestecker stop breaking my heart with his TALENT in every role he plays please sdlgjlsgjldg what an actual gem
Just watched first two episodes of “Us” and I’m really liking it ♥️! Im definitely enjoying it more than the book, whole cast is amazing, i love transitions between past and present. And it makes me want to travel again.
And I just have to mention how brilliant Iain is in it ♥️! The way he speaks and moves exactly like Tom Hollander who plays older version of his character is just outstanding. He has great on screen chemistry with Gina who plays Connie, they’re really sweet together. Iain’s character - Douglas is awkward and adorable. Seeing people praising Iain makes my heart warm ♥️. He deserves all of this, I hope this show will give him recognition he deserves and soon we will see him in more productions (I can’t wait for Roadkill!).
And BBC gave us something we never got in 7 years of AoS - shirtless Iain 😍😂.
I’m planning to watch the rest tomorrow - I can’t wait ♥️.
