Bound Q&A
First, thank you to all of the people who took the time to review. Reviews make me a happy, productive steenbean.
Second, because you asked, here are answers to some anon questions I've been asked recently:
Who or what is BSK!?
BSK! is Rebecca James. It stands for "Back, Show Killer!" and was a phrase coined by the great Couch Baron (aka John Ramos) on the old TWoP website. In his words:
"Keith goes in to see the guidance counselor, who's played by Paula Marshall. I'm not familiar with her work, but Ms. Marshall apparently has such a reputation for show-killing that the forum posters hiss and make the sign of the cross every time she appears on screen."
Incidentally, the Coach Baron character in the story is a nod to Couch Baron and his stellar recaps. I still refer to Aaron Ashmore as Icetwin because of him.
I'm so glad y'all seemed to like her chats with Logan. Those were my favorite parts to write. (And also LoVe being so snuggly.)
How many chapters are left?
I was hoping it was only 3 or 4, but it looks like it'll be more like 5 or 6 (including the epilogue.) (Which I promise I won't take 5 years to finish.) My goal is to wrap up both of my WIP's by the end of this year. Go ahead, you can laugh.
Do you know where this is going?
Of course I do. I never start posting a story until I know how it will end. That being said... I've been toying around with two completely different endings. One of them is really awesome but you'd hate me.
Are you really working on Chapter 16?
I really am. It's got a fancy Latin title and everything. It's going to be a monster chapter. Probably at least 15K words but maybe more like 20K. It covers the events of Friday morning to Saturday evening and will be told from both POV's. From here on out, every chapter will be told from both Logan and Veronica's points of view.
And a bonus answer I've been asked a ton but never gotten around to answering...
Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what?
Usually, although sometimes I put on a fan for a little white noise. My writing playlist is vast and varied. It used to be almost exclusively songs from Veronica Mars, but since I use it to write original stuff too it's evolved a bit. Lately I've preferred listening to instrumental music because it's less distracting. I listen to a lot of movie & TV scores (Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Bear McCreary, Abel Korzeniowski, Jeff Beal, etc), a little Mozart here and there and a whole lot of Lotus. Like, if Lotus didn't exist... I'd be in trouble.
