Have a little treat XD

A bit of my deaged Fox fic AU

He blinked. The black fabric moved. He blinked again. A hand peeked out from the shirt’s collar, tipping over the helmet- it fell down his lap, rolling and then twirling in place before slowly coming to a halt. Bail swallowed, tilting his head down as he stared at the hand. It was tiny. So tiny. The fingers reached out, grabbing and fisting the front of Bail’s coat. Slowly, so slowly, the black fabric in his lap moved, wiggling and then a second hand joined the first and pulled. Bail…felt faint. “Commander?” He asked, confusion heavy in his voice. A soft whine answered and then the wiggling stopped for just a moment before it turned into a more hectic wiggling. And just as quickly it had begun, it stopped just as fast, arms now peeking out of the collar, a tight hold on Bail’s coat but nothing else. “Help?” Bail heard a young voice. Far too young. “I'm stuck.” His heartbeat skyrocketed at the sound of it.

What had he done, Bail questioned himself but his answer had to wait when a specific noise caught his attention. Tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap. Silence. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. Bail turned off his datapad, setting it down as the sound of tiny feet on metal flooring echoed down the halfway. How had he gotten into this situation, Bail wondered yet again. By now the other guards had straightened up in their chairs, looking curiously at the doorway. He glances at his half empty mug of kaff, sighed and then turned around to face the doorway as well, waiting. They were halfway back to Coruscant and Bail had given his best to put the tiny Commander into bed hours ago. Nothing he had tried worked. Which…wasn’t a surprise, really. Bail had no idea what to do with a child, a toddler, and the other clones were no help at all. Bail had to step in several times to stop them from teaching the toddler how to handle a gun. He wouldn't make the mistake again of asking them for help. The tapping sound got louder, more hectic and Bail started to frown. “I’m here!” He called and leaned back in his chair, listening. The tapping stopped...and then continued even more panicked. A second later the tiny Commander rushed around the corner, stopping into the doorway. Fox’s eyes were wide, his skin pale and Bail grinded his teeth at how much Fox was shaking. “Come here.” He said and held out his arms. Without hesitation Fox stormed over- Bail’s tunic graced the floor, almost covering Fox’s toes. Fox held out his arms, his bottom lip trembling. Bail picked him up and set him down in his lap, letting Fox cling to him as if his life depended on it. Bail grinded his teeth again. “What’s wrong, Bambino?” He asked gently, forcing himself to calm down. Fox leaned back to look at Bail, eyes even bigger and Bail could swear he could see his own reflection in them. “He took my teeth.” The Commander whispered as if he’d seen a ghost and was too scared to speak any louder just in case said ghost would find him. Bail swallowed and began to rub Fox’s back. Maybe…maybe he shouldn’t have read him that bedtime story.
