-> Canon: Neither. Similar Empress, she can only drink blood because she's a demon

-> My Modern AU: Both. I see her drinking coffee in the morning to prepare for the bullshit at her job. But she loves a nice afternoon tea on her off days

N Gin:

-> IAT: Neither. Dude can't drink coffee and tea takes too long. He's an impatient fuck. Kerosene or petroleum in his cup is all he needs to help him power through

-> Radical: Tea. Dude shouldn't be trusted with coffee. He's already energetic enough. He doesn't need more energy.

Nic: Coffee. She gives me a black coffee or straight espresso kinda vibe. Nice and classy

Oswald: Coffee. His canon coffee order is black coffee with two lumps of sugar

Peri and Gale: probably tea. Not a lot is known about them (plural)

Reala: Tea. Cuz brit lol. And since they're connected to dreams and more teas help with sleep than coffee does. Although dealing with NiGHTS makes him wish she could have a taste of coffee.

Zavok: Blood or tea. "I prefer blood over water." And his master is very shifu/sensei coded and has most likely drilled the proper way to make and prepare tea into Zavok's skull

Jacuzzi/hot tub date? Relaxing inside of a volcano or a crater full of lava (Dw about Battie, she can copy his temperature resistance by drinking a bit his blood)

Picnic? Enjoying some of the spoils of a raid before a long walk to the rocket back to Lost Hex or the next village

Fireworks? Watching an Eggman Base go up in flames from a cliff

A movie? Stalking their mutual enemies from the comfort of their home with the help of a bot Zavok is controlling that has a camera

Empress, ace at least, aroace at most (still deciding). Creatures are not sexual creatures at all. And she is more focused on taking down its targets than anything else. And with her targets out of the way (James and Kate won and escaped but Empress somehow came back. She survived so much gunshot from two uzis and a few grenades to the eyes. I think she can handle getting knocked out by an oncoming train. Just unconcious for a long time.

Mukago, bisexual. I always loved the ships of her and the other lower moons, all of which are men.

N Gin (au not dependant) is a disaster bi. If you played any of the games, you know how smitten he is with Cortex despite all the man put him through. And he was still smitten when he saw a woman... who was actually Cortex in disguise. The dude's a walking disaster through and through as well.

Nic is a lesbian. The only ship I've seen her that's legal is with Fiona the Fox. Plus she never gave me the vibe that she was into men.

Oswald, it depends on the version of the character. DCAU gives me straight ally vibes but I also wouldn't put it past him if he actually was bi or anything more. Plus, I'm genderfluid so he's automatically queer. And I've seen so many headcanons of him being like a Stonewall-era or earlier gay man and I'm all for that take. Returns DEFINITELY BI OR PAN! Dude was so into women that I wouldn't be surprised if he was into some kind of man too. Bro has definitely smashed all of his gang members at least once. Also a walking disaster, just like N Gin. And 04 Ozzy is Bisexual and Polyamerous. With how he flirts with the Kabuki Twins and Catwoman, dude likes having multiple partners. Also I like seeing art of him and 04 Riddler and I like.

Reala, canonically Agender. I also see them as asexual as, like Empress with Creatures, Nightmaren aren't sexual entities. I see them as wither aromantic or cupioromantic.

💛 Is your interpretation of your f/o closer to canon or is it more of your own creation?

My takes of Oswald Cobblepot are pretty close to canon, especially the Batman Returns ones. That's because everything about him was cut and dry in the movie. His backstory was laid out, his motive, his personality, his vices. There was very little I needed to read between the lines to understand. All I can do is add onto it. (I added that his temper slips through on top of his innuendos even when he's masquerading as someone charismatic and friendly)

I haven't had the chance to write DCAU Penguin yet (I plan to, just got other projects I need to focus on) so I can't answer from a writings perspective. I do plan to blend traits form both Batman The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures into my take though.

But Batman 2004 Oz changed a bit. Moreso, he matured... slightly After his last seen role in the show, he did some reflection and realized he couldn't do everything alone. So he's a bit better to be around but he's still the same ol insufferable bird we all know. He just listens to people more, mainly the Kabuki Twins and Battie. But this isn't out of wanting to mature. It was out of not wanting anyone to abandon him. He's clingy, almost greedy like that.

He's also much MUCH flirtier than in canon, both to his women, and he's shooting his shot at any one else he sees worthy (Battie and the Twins are fine with it as long as Oz shares. Yhey know he's gonna fail each and every time and that he has too much pride in himself to stop)

Zavok is very close to canon. I used what we know from the canon and expanded upon it.

He's a vigorous warrior, so i turned that vigor into passion which shows up in his relationship with Battie. He's a tad softer with her but that's completely unintentional on his part. His bloodthirsty bat has him smitten.

Definitely a tie between Zavok, N Gin (both Radical and Modern), and Ozzy (lumping al three versions) cuz they're the ones with the biggest personalities. If they're planning something big, IT'S GONNA BE BIG!

Like have you seen N Gin's mechs? He takes "go big or go home" very seriously.

And Zavok literally said "we are Zeti, we do nothing in half measures."

While Return and 04 Ozzy have the bombastic, in-your-face kinda personality, DCAU has the smooth words, the actual drive to be romantic in the purest sense of the word (no constant innuendos here), and (especially in the TNBA side of things) the money.

I am unemployed (sadly) so if I did work...

-> Empress is the bomb and would charge into the workplace without second thought

-> N. Gin would. He has the bombs and the lack of impulse control to do so

-> Bro, my crazyass birds (04 Ozzy and Return Pengy) would totally do that.

04 Ozzy would just give tiny bombs to his birds and have them air dropped at my hypothetical work place or just be in a tree shooting em. But is stopped by a hero or something in the process of it, or he gets distracted by something shiny or expensive he can steal

But Batman Returns Penguin, dude's on another level? If you seen the movie, HE LITERALLY STRAPS MISSILES TO PENGUINS so nothing, and I mean nothing is stopping this lunatic /said with love from blowing up my hypothetical workplaces. Although i could easily disuade his ass with fish but that's if I catch him in the act

-> Reala has the bombs (explosive meteors) but would probably spend too much time watching me work from a tree or smth do summon them

-> Zavok has the ability to send bombs to my hypothetical workplace (he could literally just find something like a fighter jet or a badnik that can summon bombs and send its ass to my work) but he's not chaotically impulsive like most of the others. He'd send the threat, wait until I leave for the day, then blow it up. Or not because he's smart and composed and knows that I need that job

2. What is your f/o's most unorthodox act to show love?

Battie doesn't consider much unorthodox considering how their brain is wired, all she's been through with the Empire, and just how accepting she is of a lot of things. After all, both Battie and Zavok kill for each other. However, it continues to surprise Battie when Zavok brings home the heads of their enemies (whether it's Battie's enemy or a shared enemy, doesn't matter), not for Battie to drain the blood from but as a trophy. She considers it a waste of food. Sometimes she rants to the heads like they're still alive cuz she's kooky like that.

19. How does your f/o attempt to impress you? Does it work?

Battie is continously impressed by Zavok without the Zeti even trying. Learning more about how he fights. How he is. And skills she didn't even know he had. She finds his knowledge and competence very attractive. Plus, Zavok knows he doesn't need to impress Battie to earn their affection as he's generally a very affectionate person. But it doesn't stop him from impressing her regardless. How he shows this off is what he gathers from his hunts (both actual hunting and his invasions) and the fruits of his labor. She'd attend them if she weren't so busy living their double life. (That he knows of, dw)
