“I don’t know what you’ve heard, but Star City has hit its vigilante quota for the year. You could always try Coast City, though - see if they’ve got an opening,” Sara suggested, bo staff resting on her back.

“Yeah. I think we’re done for tonight. ” She said, with a small sigh. “Or at least I hope.”

For a moment, she stood quiet and contemplated the sunrise. “Gotham has always been a city for the night owls. It’s when the dark of the night takes over that everyone is awake and ready for some trouble.”

She took a quick stretch and changed to a more relaxed position. “This view makes spending the night running around worth it though.”

Tim grinned at the amendment to her statement. That was often how it went - it seemed something was over and boom, bam, aliens invading from another dimension or another universal crisis was happening, or there was a cat stuck in a tree. "That was very poetic. Have you been hitting the angsty poetry or do you just need caffeine?" he teased from his perch, looking up at the blonde.

"Yeah," he agreed, gaze turning back to the struggling sunlight. It was good, when it was like this. The city almost seemed safe enough to be around, even if he knew far better. "Are you heading straight home after, or are you hanging around?" he asked, curious. He always hoped Steph was intending to spend a little more time, but it was- no, he wasn't even checking the time. It was early and she probably had enough to do.

Tim Red Robin landed softly on the rooftop, pushing himself to his feet as he approached the blonde ahead of him, a small, tired smile on his face as the fog-hidden glow of dawn attempted to breach the Gotham landscape. This was one of the perks of the job, no doubt. Sure, it wasn’t the glowing sunrise he got to see at Titans Tower, and it wasn’t the humbling awe one got from space, but Gotham was its own beast, and beautiful in its own way.

The Dark Knight had been back less than a minute, the smell of hot rubber still lingered in the air as he stood at the large, multi-screen display. Patrol was done for the night — at least for him — he’d let Robin and Nightwing finish up patrol, but he didn’t want to go back to the Cave. Lucius had postponed the quarterly board meeting enough because of Bane, Joker, Strange, so he had to be in at eight in the morning, so he instead returned to the bunker beneath Wayne Tower. 

The bunker was essentially a nuclear bomb shelter that stored a lot of his toys that weren’t in use currently, so it would take a Kryptonian to break through its walls if they didn’t have access. Despite Bruce, Alfred, and Lucius being the only ones to ever come down into this bunker, everyone was in the system, so Steph didn’t even need to do anything. The system just scanned her and opened the doors for her.
