also hi, quick thing that im gonna post cause a lot of people don’t seem to know this??? And since I found out, it saves me a lot of time.
How to Screencap easily using photoshop
Download the video (I use kimcartoon & an adblock; change to PZP and you can normally download it with right click on the video)
Open photoshop (which you can get at this link right here for free if u dont have it. it is safe and usable; i personally have downloaded every version and each version has worked and was safe but it is technically ill.egal.)
Now, let’s open the video in photoshop!!Â
so we now go, file --> export ---> render video
Then you’ll get a window pop up!Â
Pick a folder for it to save too, and you can even make a new subfolder for it!Â
Make sure you change it to say “photoshop image sequence”
Pick your format; i suggest PNG, they’re larger but better images
Make sure under size, it’s set to be “document size” so nothing is squished weird
Then set the frame rate! It’s frames per second, and typically will tell you what the document frame rate it (something crazy like 20+)
I personally set it somewhere between 1-5, depending on just how many I want, and depending on the length.
I’m currently capping Luca, which is a full length feature film with lots of expression, so im gonna do 2 fpsÂ
Now you hit render! While it’s rendering, go write your drafts! go make lunch! It’s a background process and you don’t have to do ANYTHING else. Photoshop will let you know when it’s done.
Longer videos can take a while depending on length and fps and etc; but honestly i’d take waiting an hour and being able to do other stuff than staring and screencapping by myself for the entire length of a movie and not being able to get other stuff done
