Favorite Roadblocks: Triangle

And for the almost 2 year detour that my life has taken, I’ve had the most wonderful encounters with the most wrecking universal plot twists and turns with the least expected set of people.

At first, I admit, I was intimidated by him. His barista journey was over the top —he was also a seasonal barista and from that, he got regularized and became a Coffee Master and a Barista Trainer in a matter of 8 months. Being on the floor with him really made me nervous because I felt like I was being watched all the time so I’m always conscious of my actions. We casually hang after shifts, eating and drinking, and  we never really had a good quality “rapport building” conversation. When my first contract ended. I dropped by the store to have another drinking session with them and send my Barista Trainer off to another store. That night I was a little too drunk and it was still a little too early to go home, that Jeff offered me to stay with him in their house. He even lend me his boxer shorts and a tee and we slept on his bed.  And that was it. After that, we often see each other outside the store, of course still drinking or eating, opening up about our deepest secrets and recent love and life problems. From then on we became each other’s witnesses whenever the universe tries to squash us in violent tremors.

On the other hand, she annoyed me. She was that kupal trainee and she acts like she doesn’t care. She prioritized her K-dramas and all the boys in her messenger. She’s the kind of person I least expected to get thankful for. But Kaye is actually a lot like me. We both have the same size, she likes the clothes I like and she find the things I thought were pretty, pretty too. We both have big mouths and we both say whatever the fuck we want. You can’t ever offend us unless you talk behind our backs and we have the wittiest minds especially when it comes to the “stuff.” (Actually. the three of us are all like that haha maybe that’s why we got along so well.)

The best part about this threesome is as much as being gago as people, we’re also the sentimental, problematic, devastated emotional wrecks. Cliche as it is, but there’s nothing more comforting than finding the people who are exactly as broken as you are and make all the misery okay.
