Batman/Superman: World's Finest 2026 Annual
From SDCC - Bat-Mite!
Okay, is it just me or is it pretty devastating (in universe and on a meta level) that Batman tells Bat-Mite that there is no room for fun and whimsy in modern Batman comics because his world has gotten too serious and dark for that.? 😔
[ID: several panels from World‘s finest, Vol. 6, showing Batman and Batman-Mite. Batman acknowledges the days in which Batman-mite regularly took part in Batman and Robin‘s adventures. But he also says that his world and his job have become more serious and less colorful, being no longer a place Bat-Mite should be - for his own sake.]

Hi hi I love your art so much!! Could you maybe draw batmite? :oD
yeehawwwww
I've been playing through the new Lego Batman game and am loving all the references, but there is one that I haven't been able to figure out yet.
This one on the back right wall in Bat Mite's shop. All of the other posters are anime references so I'm assuming this one is too.
Any ideas?
Anon ask game: 💞☀️🧸
props to that Bat-mite anon, that premise does sound funny, in a sad kinda way
Bat-mite: come on, you're the Batman, THE batman! You've dealt with reality-bending situations before! This won't take you down, nothing can!
Bruce, staring into the middle distance: what about a phone call?
Bat-mite, grimacing: just- just work with me here...
I can see it ending in Bat-mite getting so frustrated with his lack of progress (which is entirely his fault) that he eventually crashes out at Bruce, which actually ends up succeeding somehow
That, or Bruce is unable to handle it all, and Bat-mite coincides in letting him do whatever he wants, in the hopes that he'll "come back" without all the meta-knowledge (perhaps through some more of his meddling?)
Intriguing
