While Tim Flach was photographing fruit bats in his studio  he noticed a polaroid of them the wrong way up and decided they looked much better ‘standing upright.’ I have to agree with him :)  These photos are amazing;  especially that first one

Was asked recently if I would have any bat sword pins in again. The original style sold some time back however I do have variations. These variations are with the one of the new sword colors antique silver and a shiny black sword as well. You have 3 different bat styles to choose from, I'm partial to the vampire celestial bat (style A) myself. You can find all my sword hair pins and more at Somewear in Tyme

A warning to bat lovers: Do NOT join the Facebook group Batty for Bats. Â Â I don't know what happened to that group but for over a week now there are posts of... A bat that starved to death. A slightly decomposed fruit bat that choked / got poisoned by eating a toxic / untreated Cashew. Â The OP claiming he thinks nature is beautiful "Even the suffering in nature." Taxidermied bats, including ones shared by a person who 'doesn't care if they get them through unscrupulous means. They're beautiful." And most recently that stupid and hideous "Close enough" meme where at bat is clinging to a broken twig while laying on the ground, having died in agony during the Australian heat wave that killed many flying foxes a few years ago. And there are self-righteous people who defend these posts and calling you a bully if you denounce them. Â THIS is what Batty for Bats has turned into.
Update: Â Take a look at what this person posted publicly on my own Facebook.

Do you really think I am going to deny calling people who share a dead, tortured bat picture, stupid, SOB assholes? There is nothing wrong in using those words against animal abuse, that is NOT bullying. How about growing up and prioritizing suffering of animals over foul language.
Here, I'll be responsible.
Come, animal lovers of the Internet and do tell me if it's bullying to call someone a stupid SOB Asshole for laughing at the slow death of an animal. Which is worse to you, fellow animal lovers? A little foul language toward laughing at animal abuse as funny, or the animal abuse? If it's bullying to use "bad words" against pro-animal abuse that shows how twisted and warped the word has become. If you think it's immature and that I need to "grow up" for being angry at animal torture and using bad words against animal torture, I'd rather be a child.
