please tell me about your ocs basil and Christopher? what I’ve heard is really compelling
Finally home so I can actually answer this!
And honestly I came up with Basil... June of last year, he was first supposed to be kind of a throwaway character in a angsty end and he still does have an angsty end, but I fell in love with him so fast and just he became something more.
The relationship between the two of them starts platonic, then grows into something more. Basil was (is) a popular artist among queer communities (even beyond that as well) and he stopped doing art after his late wife passed away and he got a cancer diagnosis in his early 40's. He and Christopher meet when Christopher is working and doing lectures in the US (his first time in the states), they meet for the first time at a little art gallery Basil is putting some of his older works in. (He prefers putting them in smaller, more personal ones) They get to chatting and meet up on and off and bond quickly, on Christopher's 29th birthday, a year and a half after the two had met, Basil gifts Christopher a personalized cane because Christopher had talked about wanting to get something that fit his style a bit more. It's his most treasured gift still.
They become friends, because there's not a lot of people left in Basil's life since he stopped doing art and stopped hanging around other rich folk (You know rich folk with family money, Basil grew and earned his over the years) and they all slowly just kinda left him alone other than a select few, but even then, those friendships aren't the same. Christopher honestly just loves the man and wants to spend time with him, to keep him company in any form that Basil wants from him. They get close fast, and they've got a lot in common despite a bit of an age gap, Christopher constantly jokes that he's an old soul, how no one thinks he and Morgan are twins because he looks that much older.
But Christopher ends up living with Basil, both as a companion and just so he can work in the city that's nearby more (mostly a lecturer, sometimes doing.. doctor stuff idk I don't go into details). Basil brings up marriage, because he knew early on that he was probably gonna end up giving everything to Christopher after he passes. Marriage isn't really needed but it makes it a lot easier to put Christopher in his will, Christopher accepts. His family is honestly super accepting of it, they just wanna see their son happy and he really truly is with Basil. They get married, and they get longer together than they expected, but Basil does ultimately pass, somewhere in his early 50's (or just pre 50, I'm not sure yet)
He's one of my favorite characters as of late tbh, I love thinking about him and I'd looooove to talk about him more if people are interested and have questions
what she says: I'm fine
what she means: So far, it really seems like we have confirmation that Good Cop will be in the sequel. He appeared a couple of times in the background in the "Dance Together" video, and is included in the 70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! LEGO set. In that set, he has an office with "chair-kicking function", so hopefully we'll get to see Bad Cop too. The real question is what have they been doing all this time? And how do they feel about all these new developments? Good Cop keeps being referred to as "Scribble Cop". How does he feel about being called that? "Scribbles" is actually a cute nickname for him, but Bad Cop seems like the type to beat someone up for even mentioning Good Cop's new face in a way that could be negative. To Bad Cop, "Scribble Cop" would probably seem like an insult, even when it's meant in a friendly way. There's also the fact that we haven't seen Bad Cop in any promotional material so far. Is he doing okay? There have been several fanfics about Bad Cop refusing to come out after TAKOS Tuesday, feeling like no one wants or needs to talk to him after what he did—instead, he leaves any new policing job to Good Cop, since everyone likes his "good" side. Will we get to see something like that in the movie? Does Warner Brothers realize that half of us are waiting with bated breath, not necessarily for the movie in its entirety, but for what's going to happen with these two? I have so many questions.
@wordgirlchronicles can you please stop posting so much great stuff?? i'm like reblogging your entire blog here

The only possible downside to being in the Milo Murphy's Law fandom:
• Saying “Balthazar and Cavendish” or “Vinnie and Dakota” even after you’ve already smacked yourself for doing it a hundred times
me: the perfect mafia movie doesn't exis—
goncharov (1973):
So I watched the first few episodes of Tangled: The Series, and... I'm actually really impressed?? The writing is REALLY good, the main characters are all great foils for each other, and pretty much everything that happens is adorable, dramatic, or hilarious. Usually a mix of all three. The animation is really pretty, too!
The lineless animation style makes it look awesome, and the series doesn't shy away from having a deep plot with a lot of feeling and character development. And it's squeaky clean, as far as I know, which is extra awesome! Clean Fantasy With Cool Characters And a Little Bit of Angst is 1000% my favorite genre.
I'm partway through Season 1 right now, and so far it's SUPER cool. I've seen spoilers for some of the big plot twists that come later (and there are some big plot twists), but I can't wait to see how in the world we're going to get to them. 10/10, awesome show so far, will keep you guys updated!
