my Novella November tbr pile 🧡

so I've just pulled every book off my shelves that's 200 pages or less (and To Clutch a Razor because I've got it from the library right now lol)

i think my plan for Novella November will be to just grab one of these whenever I have to take the bus somewhere. I've got a lot of library books at the moment but I'm hoping these can fill in when I can't listen to my audiobooks

I've had an incredible reading year and these books are the best of the best of what I read <3 from fantasy to horror to YA contemporary to sci-fi, I had a lot of fun with these books and am 110% happy to chat about any of them if y'all wanna more ^.^

it's such a good book. it tackles such big topics and handles them with great care and finesse. Miles's journey accepting his autism is brutal and beautiful. the addressing of class warfare in a small town. the exploration of West Virginia's history. the way it tackles being queer in a small town. you can tell that this was a book coming straight from AJW's soul and he pulled it off so cleverly - he doesn't shy away from the rough stuff but he also doesn't rush through the parts that feed your soul, that give you hope

look at all these books I read 😱 i had so much fun reading this month, especially diving into the queer books on my TBR. I think my favourites were Waiting on a Friend by Natalie Adler and just the joy of discovering Makana Yamamoto's writing 🥰
