i'm not from west virginia, or the us for that matter, but i especially related a lot to the class aspects as somebody from a heavily working-class area of northern england (specifically greater manchester), which is also an area with a long history surrounding coal mines, unions and strikebreaking. i love miles so much, he's such good aromantic rep

Just as a warning, I don't actually watch that many movies lol, and recency bias will probably be strong here

If it's with all of them at the same time, I'd pick Batman Returns because it's so campy and hilarious that you lowkey can't go wrong with it. Unironically one of my favorite movies ever. Plus, I think the likes of Theo, Noah and Levi would hate it and think it's stupid.

I'm doing what I'd watch with just the individual characters now:

Crane: I'd pick Iron Lung because I think he'd like that and his reaction to Simon's boobs would be funny

Miles: probably Spider Verse, especially the second one, because he would think Hobie is the coolest character ever and I want to share that with him

Benji: Star Wars Revenge of The Sith with no context

Morgan: Legally Blonde, I think it would be too positive for him to admit to liking it, but he'd secretly like it anyways

Levi: An experimental movie that I watched with my father once in German, the title roughly translates to "A Date With Nothing". It's just a guy talking to you in the role of the concept of nothing, who you're on a date with, over random nature scenes. Nothing is obnoxious and a horrible date, and this is the most boring experience of my life (I'm so sorry if you know and like this incredibly niche movie, I'm happy for you, but my ADHD brain could never). So Levi is the only person I would ever inflict this on lol, and seeing him losing his mind waiting for something to actually happen would make the movie worthwhile to sit through again

Stagger: K-Pop Demon Hunters, for the meme

Nick: Princess Mononoke, I think he'd like it a lot

Daphne: The entire Lord of The Rings trilogy extended edition, I think she'd love how poetic it gets. She'd read all the books including the Silmarillion (which I personally can't get through) immediately after and love them even more

Dallas (I know you didn't include them, but I wanted to do them anyways): either Ginger Snaps because I think they'd like it or Fire of Love (a documentary about a volcanologist couple) because I think they're secretly a romantic, or at least like weird romances like this

Noah: The Trollhunters Rise of the Titans movie (it's very bad)

Cooper: I Saw The TV Glow, so maybe he'll get at least a tiny bit of what his trans friends are dealing with (and maybe also to crack her egg)

Silas: Either Nimona or the 2007 Ninja Turtles movie, I can't decide. He'd really like theorising about how Ballister might have treated his amputation on his own while on the run or how the Ninja Turtles would biologically work I feel, and also relate to Nimona of course

Theo: Conclave, the reason is probably self-explanatory
