I wanted to go shoot over the Rhine in Basel, but decided against it last minute. However, shortly after that I started seeing some amazing colors in the sky. Luckily I was able to lean out of our balcony and after some more minutes the sky presented this beautiful firework. I was stunned, especially as at this exact moment a murder of crows crossed the light. Fun fact: A group of crows is called a “murder.” There are several different explanations for the origin of this term, mostly based on old folk tales and superstitions. For instance, there is a folktale that crows will gather and decide the capital fate of another crow.
