Description: Get adventurous and become a strong, sexier and more confident version of yourself in 2021 with this unique 4-week virtual aerial burlesque workshop led by burlesque phenomenon Joanna Animal! Learn the sultry art of burlesque dancing while improving strength, vocabulary and fluidity on your aerial hoop from home. Each class will include a long flexibility and floor work warm up, followed by roughly an hour of aerial hoop training and sequencing that will build into about 4 minutes of flirtatious (floor and hoop) choreography to the song “Gorilla” by Bruno Mars. We will wrap up each class with a mini-lecture and discussion about burlesque stylings, costuming, ethics, and stage presence. At the end of our workshop, students will have the opportunity to “perform” virtually on Valentine’s Day. No burlesque experience required!
