I am so so so happy with these bangs! I didn’t separate the curls too too much; I took the largest sections and separated them into two or three different curls, then shaped each individual curl with my fingers, another stirring straw and a small clean makeup spoolie- I smoothed some Water Wax over the bangs and ponytail prior to boiling which really helped keep the curls stuck together and enable a little finger shaping. I really do not like gel or hairspray, so I’m thankful Water Wax exists lol
The ponytail curls came out perfectly too! I prefer the fluffier, multi-curl ponytails over the single curl for vintage Barbie so that’s how I decided to do this girl (and I figure it’ll look a little fancier with her outfit lol) I definitely need to redo the ponytail as it got a little messy during the boiling process, but the curls are exactly what I wanted.
She came out exactly how I’d hoped and I’m so excited to iron out her dress and put it back on her!
Couldn’t ask for a better #1 repro tbh, but I’ll definitely still need the blonde anyway lol
