1) I like baking apple pies (well any pies really but especially apple) because I find it oddly satisfying to chop up apples (plus usually watch Supernatural when I make apple pie but thatās probably a coincidence right?)
2) My cat, Fish. Heās an adorable, finicky super fluffy ball of soft orange fur and paranoia. Heās my soulcat, my familiar, and just seeing him makes me ridiculously happy.
3) The ābengal spiceā flavored tea they sell in supermarkets during the winter. The cloves are too strong for most of my family, but I kinda like the pleasantly numb feeling in my lips.
4) That feeling you get as a writer when you figure something out in your own work. I have been going through a major writersā block for about a year now, but every once in a while I figure out a personal riddle or a plot hole that bugged me, and it is the most satisfying feeling.
5) (Iām going deep with this last one) The fact that asexuality is a thing. I live in a conservative, cisheteronormative family, so the exploration of sexualities other than the hetero was lowkey discouraged (a fact I didnāt really see at the time but has become glaring since I came out). I always felt like something was maybe wrong with me, or I just wasnāt getting something when I couldnāt find it in myself to see myself or anyone else in a sexual light. Since finding out that asexuality exists, I felt so free within myself that I havenāt regretted it for a second, even when my mom side-eyes me and my grandma treats it like a fad. I feel free.
