Bilal: A new Breed of Hero (Review) :

Rating: 9.5/10

Pitched in as an Idea in 2013. It took 3 years for the movie Bilal to come to life which depicts the life of one of the most important Islamic figures, Bilal Ibn Rabah.

A thousand years ago, one boy with a dream of becoming a great warrior is abducted with his sister and taken to a land far away from home. Thrown into a world where greed and injustice rule all, Bilal finds the courage to raise his voice and make a change. Inspired by true events, this is a story of a real hero who earned his remembrance in time and history

As someone who would never want to watch a movie twice, Bilal would certainly be an exception. 

From the tiniest details of the animation, cinematography, and the very inspiring story that will leave you with the hair on your skin standing time and time again during its 105 min runtime, it is absolutely a peach of a movie!

It depicts the struggle of equality of the slaves during the Rise of Islam and how Islam liberated them, though, the movie tends to have a towards neutral theme theologically to keep the audience as wide as possible and yet still depicts Islamic principles very well! 

The build-up to story of Bilal and putting him into spotlight is done very well. Though, towards the end, a few things and events are slightly rushed/skipped which may have you a little confused if you weren’t able to connect things or do not know very much about the context (which is the only reason I wouldn’t give it a 10)

Other than that it is absolutely a movie anyone would enjoy and totally learn a lot from! A very engaging piece of art you would want to watch again and again!
