Will I ever work on this more?? Maybe?? I Hope so but it's nearly 4AM and we only took it this far because my brain actually refused to sleep till I'd blocked out the first phrase so. Yeah.
ANYWAY, the idea comes from a few fics I've read where, as part of being the ghost king, Danny has to help newly formed ghosts to the ghost zone (if he finds them). Some of the most guttenching I've read being children. I've ALSO been reading a lot of banshee danny.
SO- there was some disaster that left a lot of distressed souls that formed a lot of ghosts. Worse, many of them are kids. Danny doesn't really have the time to seek out all the newly formed ghost children individually, but he dose need to round them up (as respectfully and gently as he can) and walk them to the infinite relms.
His solution? He sings.
Just saw Urban Jungle and in it Frostbite said that Danny’s ghost sense is an example some of his power being released from his ice core. So I thought, if you consider @floralflowerpower ‘s banshee Danny headcanon and it being a death sense, would it be possible that banshees are more prone to developing ice cores for that icy breath? And if not, assuming that ice cores are just simply uncommon, even among uncommon types of ghosts such as banshees, what kinds of cores would be more likely to be developed that still allowed some kind of ghost or death sense and how would that be expressed through those cores?
Banshee!Danny and ghosts paralleling real world supernatural mythos and spirits thought, inspired by @floralflowerpower ‘s banshee post.
A siren, I assumed like Ember and based on her attributes in the show, would have a variety of tones they have specialized to get the specific influence they desire,
and can “exchange” (notice the red music note is switched for a blue fist that later turned green, the green skull had changed places, and blue flame had seemingly disappeared) or change those specialized tones.
And seeing the green fists as well as the more ominous death song above, I wondered about our ghost boy and his more vocal abilities, his ghostly wail.
I thought, what would happen if a banshee, obviously specifically Danny, sang?
Banshees being spirits mostly associated with warning and ominous signs of oncoming death, I wonder if his singing voice, as sirens songs are often emotionally influential given Ember as our example, would put people into mourning or become sorrowful, like how that “in the arms of an angel” animal cruelty commercial made people so upset they couldn’t use that song anymore, in panic and fear to hide away from the focus of song, or a sense of urgency, to act against whatever it is that may be coming. To sing of anguish, dread, and warning.
