Agreed 1000% @fostercatsandkittens PAWS NEED CLAWS! There is NO safe or humane way to declaw a cat. Cats were born with claws for a reason... would you declaw or remove a dog’s nails? Why are cats different? If you are more concerned about your furniture, you shouldn’t have a cat. There are plenty of ways to deter a cat from scratching furniture. Keep those nails trimmed! There are caps you can put on a cats nails, double sided tape for furniture, and have a variety of scratchers and scratching posts available. PLEASE try to educate people on the dangers of declawing. Love taking photos of Oscars nails. I will never understand how people can willingly choose to chop off and amputate the top of an animals digit just to get rid of their claws to save their furniture... I'm sure everyone's scratched something in their life. How would you feel if you had the tip of each finger amputated to the first knuckle...? But it wouldn't be half as bad as it would for an animal because they have TO WALK on those amputated digits for the rest of their life, causing them tremendous pain. If you willingly declaw your animal, you are an animal abuser and are utter shite to me. I will NEVER make my beloved animals go through that trauma and pain, to suffer their whole life just to prevent some scratching here and there. Scratch posts are a thing... Buy them.
