now let’s just remeber both times Maddie was in danger, Buck was up and doing something reckless before someone could even say “wait, where’s buck?” He was also extremely clever when it came to unlocking Chim’s phone.

It almost pisses me off that Athena reinged him in both times because I would’ve loved to see how buck would’ve handled both situations on his own

but it also almost seems...like the writers are saving for something, everything that’s happened to buck almost seems to culminating to one huge moment. The fire truck, the pulmonary embolism, the tsunami, (not to mention we KNOW he can handle himself he survived the tsunami and made sure Chris did too) even them saying he was a former SEAL in season ones almost seemed like them dropping a hint that one day, someones gonna do something or hurt someone buck cares about, and they are not gonna like the response

i dunno, these are just my thoughts, but I rlly hope we get something like this in season four.

well, my theory is that buck didn’t go SEAL mode when the things that you listed happened because they happened to him. We’ve seen buck put others first, way first, like, he’ll be in grave danger and ask if someone else is ok type of first

now, we saw his actions when Maddie was in danger (sense went out the window both times buck come on)

let’s also remember how closed off he looked though when he thought that eddie was still underground. when the hole first collapsed, he was still normal buck, freaking out, screaming, crying, but by the time eddie pulled up, he had completely retreated into himself, had a blank face, wasn’t talking to anyone, and wasn’t really present. 

it looks to me like Buck went half SEAL. Cause he can take it if he gets hurt, but if it’s someone he cares about, it’s a whole ‘nother ball game.
