Jacqueline loved the view of the city from her apartment at nice. She had spent the day being charitable. She went to a ladies brunch, a wine tasting, played a round of tennis at a country club with a politician's wife and a lunch with another charity. It warranted a nap and by the time she got up, took a hot bath, and ate, there was only one feeling left in her: lust. She wasn't the kind to hit the clubs, looking for a hookup, but she wasn't apposed to casual sex at all. Lucky for her, the handsome Swedish man she spoke to once in a drunken haze had offered to keep her company for a while. " Being his" he called it. Something about the phrase gave her goosebumps. She slipped into a thin silk night gown with a matching robe before heading to her kitchen barefoot to select a wine and prepare things for her guest before he arrived.

Marie didn't really think that Balthazar would ask her out on a date so soon if at all. It's not that she was self-conscious or insecure, but she didn't think that she was all that pretty. All the compliments on anything other than her music were things she just wasn't used to hearing. Still, it was refreshing. No woman in her right mind would turn down a man who looked like that. She didn't really know where he was taking her, so she dressed well enough to fit in anywhere, just in case. Once the white silk blouse and black mini skirt were complimenting her to the point of satisfaction, she pulled her hair into a neat ponytail and headed out to her living room to wait on her date, checking her phone every now and then while she watched tv.
