updates:
storm is 5 months old, about 40 pounds. my mom is doing puppy classes with him and he’s great.
booker gets his second dose of librela this week. within two days of his first dose he has able to quit oral meds (three taken twice a day) and was (still is) doing better on just the librela than he was on all three oral meds. he’s been able to trot for the first time since july.
atticus got a huge tank upgrade last week. he’s now in a 4x2x2 and loving it. he’s turning 14 next year and its very rewarding to see him so happy and active.
and… balthazaar died. i found him in his tank november 10th. he’s buried out next to stumpy. he was around 15 years old.

Geologists showed me the history of the world. Historians remind me of times long, long ago that have slipped even my memory. Philosophers have considered me carefully and have posed their questions of the universe to me. Countless of them have given me insight to how the human mind works. And yet, I am still aghast at how you pose this question. You could’ve asked me anything. How does the Sun continue to glow? What is the distance from a hot air balloon in relation to a cliff? Where do you go when you die? How many stars burn in the sky that are gone, now, but still shine in our sky? And yet, you ask me how long my eyelashes are?
Children are puzzling creatures. My confusion will never leave me about the intricacies of this girl, but the mystery only makes me love her more.

My half-orc Druid, Balthazaar. He was exiled from his village immediately following his birth by his human mother, and, for good measure, had his right leg severed to ensure his death in the woods.
