👰 So I went to a wedding in Spain. NO, NOT MY WEDDING 😁 -- Didn't know what to expect since I have never been to a Spanish wedding. They had few cool "traditions" like... 1) the food. You know I love food 😋 the bride and the groom meet at the altar (they have "done" the church couple of weeks ago). So before that, close friends and family gather in the house of whichever side they are at. Once they met, there was still a short ceremony followed by cocktails. Then appetisers like hamon, quail's eggs, cheese, olives, etc. Beers and soft drinks were "throw" there as well. Then we moved to a different hall where we had the starter, main and desert. Then it was dancing time, in the middle of which there were mini hamburgers, fruits and sweets to help you recover after all this heavy dancing 😁 -- 2) in Spain, the bride doesn't throw the boquet, she gives it. She'll come out dancing (together with the groom), take few girls out to the "stage", give a short talk and give the bouquet to one of the girls. -- 3) Not all gifts were for the married couple. It was the other way around as well. From time to time, with some intervals, there would be music played louder where the couple will come out from the "back stage" with a gift for somebody close like a grandmother, their best friend, etc. -- 4) and then this. The balloons... Before we entered in the main building, balloons were handed to each couple with a pen and a piece of paper. You have to write down a wish for the couple and then everybody releases the balloon at the same time.
