But in reality, you were suffering; just trying to get work done. You knew that you’d been neglecting your boyfriends and denying them affection but you had to get in this report to your boss. There was a promotion spot you and another workmate were competing to get. So you poured out your heart into making this one of your best reports. Bakugo and Deku watched from afar as Bakugo was multitasking. Trying to keep the food he was cooking from burning and watching you; a second from burnout syndrome. Deku was at the kitchen table along with his paperwork that he had gotten some progress on. Finishing up the last bits of paper that were keeping him from his long-awaited and deserved rest weekend.

Finally, you looked up from your computer just to get up and refill your glass of water. You could see the finish line for your paper and it was so darn close. But you were parched from all that hard typing. You stretched while you waited for your glass to fill up with water. Rolling your shoulders forward and back. Bakugo seemed to acknowledge your bones because he could hear them cracking like celery sticks. He gave you a concurring look, to say the least. A little side-eye if you will. He sighed while stirring the contents on the pan, sizzling on the stove, “You know you’ll get burnout if you don’t take a break soon, right?” You gave a quiet hum to his question while turning off the tap, taking a sip of your water. You gave him a kiss on the cheek and left the kitchen, ruffling up Izuku’s hair on the way back to your nest. You sat down and tried to finish your paper. Izuku finished his report and put them all away in his work bag, ready and prepped to turn in tomorrow.

He got up from his seat and walked to Bakugo, leaning over his shoulder to see what he was cooking. Wrapping his hands around his waist and smiling, “That smells and looks good Kachaan!” He let out a low hum, “Of course it does. I made it.” It was domestic but a romantic moment nonetheless. Any second now, you’d come up and kiss them both, teasing Bakugo about something stupid and laughing together….

Until there wasn’t any moment. They both sighed in sync and whispered silently to where you couldn’t hear them. “We’ve got to do something about that stupid report. It’s been a week already, Kachaan.” He nodded. “You’re damn right. She hasn’t given us any attention, any cuddles, anything. So much as just a kiss on the cheek and hair ruffles, like we’re some toddlers or sum.” Izuku got off his shoulder and decided to lean against the counter instead, letting Bakugo finish dinner. “I agree. I mean, it’s nice to get a kiss on the cheek sometimes. But only sometimes, not all the time. She also promised me cuddles yesterday and I never got them!” Izuku pouted and crossed his arms. “But just don’t start yelling again when we try to pry them off their work again. It doesn’t do anything but make them more stubborn.” With a click, Bakugo turned off the stove. Plating dinner on some clean white plates and letting Izuku help him take them to the table. Where you’d all usually try and eat together whenever you got the chance.

“Come and eat, y/n!” Bakugo called you, hoping the words wouldn’t fall on deaf ears. Unfortunately, it did. He walked up to you and grabbed your laptop that was being abused by your fingers. “Hey! Give it back Katsuki! I’m almost done! I just need one more paragraph!” He gave you a look, “…okay maybe three more. But! I promise I’m almost done!” He looked at the screen and pressed save, closing it and planting it on the desk. “Enough is enough, cmon. You need to eat- AND don’t say you have been eating, I mean eating full healthy meals.” You quickly closed your mouth and blushed slightly, you have been surviving off of snacks and leftovers here and there. They had a point. You nodded and got up, stretching yet again and following Bakugo. Too tired to put up a fight, fatigue finally dawned on you and how much you needed a good shower as well as food. “Nice of you to join us, y/n!” Izuku gave you a warm smile and pulled out your chair for you. Your heart filled with warmth. You sat down after giving him a small ‘thank you’.

You all ate the meal that Katsuki provided and talked. A much-needed conversation on all ends. You missed socializing and laughing with your two boys. It was uplifting, fulfilling. After dinner you helped clean up, offering to wash the plates. “Hey, I’ll do the dishes tonight, you two go to the room and set up a movie or something. I think we all need some cuddles and relaxation tonight.” “Damn right we do. Being a hero isn’t easy. Or just existing isn’t easy.” “Don’t get all mysterious and poetic Kachaan!” Katsuki nudged his shoulder and they both went into the bedroom.

You turned off all the lights in the kitchen and put the used dirty towel in the hamper nearby. You yawned and walked towards the only light source left, the lamp on the desk. You glanced at the laptop and shook your head. “Damn machine, you’re gonna be the end of me one of these days. Goodnight.” Turning off the lamp you walked into the bedroom with your favorite heroes. To say the least, it was a good night. You all got to cuddle and just hang out for a while. Take a break from the world and just be yourselves in peace. With your eyes closing slowly you smiled. You really were lucky to have them.
