A 'Wading in Waist-High Water' reveal!
I have been sitting on this amazing collaboration for a long time now! Somewhere last year, I started a super partnership with book binder Laura from ldm.binding (Insta)! We worked on a bind for 'Wading in Waist-High Water' by colgatebluemintygel on AO3.
If you don't know it, it is a lovely Wolfstar fanfic about the Great British Bake Off. I created a bunch of artwork for the bind, and Laura put it all together into a super fun bind! There's gorgeous endpapers, a creative typeset with text messages (which must have been a b*tch to edit) and extra inserts with some of my illustrations. This is the first book binding collab I've done, and I loved it so much! Another is coming as well... but I don't know when I'll be able to share that one. But it will be another Wolfstar fic, and an adorable one, too!
So! The reveal!
I made the dust jacket illustration, the chapter headers and a set of character portraits, as well as the Marauders band poster (the WIWHW edition). Laura did the gorgeous bind (I mean, look at those headbands!!!) and printed everything out to go inside the book :) A book made with love from the author Colgatebluemintygel, Laura and me. I hope you like it, too! I absolutely love this bind, and will cherish it for the rest of my life <3 Of course, remember that fanfiction is not meant to be sold or distributed for profit. We made these for personal use only. I will make another post with the illustrations I made, but this INCREDIBLE BIND deserved its own stage!
