Hey! Thank you so much for reading! I make Ratterrock with my partner @suzie-guru, she's the main writer but I do most of the character design.
To answer your question, it’s not totally random at all. The main driving conflict of Ratterrock is the conflict between rats and mice and their worlds. The mice of Saltscratch and the rats of Ratterrock are often at odds with one another. We pick our characters and what species they might be based on where they would fit in the narrative. Because this story deals with those factors, we think very distinctly about who is a rat, mouse, bat, and so on.

Are you still making the great mouse detective chap 2?
Yes I am still working on it. It's been a bit of a slog because I'm going back and forth on a few decisions. Controversial decision that people might not like but it is what it is. I hope people will accept the story for how I decided to write it.
