I'm still stuck with the fact that it seems like, unlike with the Teal car, there is no way to complete Act 2 without Baizli dying.
Just. Thinking on Marvus, who is the one who stuck Joey with this cruel "game" but also seems to be encouraging her to not actually play it the way she's been told to, going beyond just accepting her subterfuge and actually playing along to the point he actively dismisses Chahut's attempts to poke holes in Joey's "proof" of murder, shushing Joey up when she tries to confess that she hadn't actually killed anyone up to that point. How he advises that "no1 who matterz to the plot is gonna die :o)" which if only taken in the context of being a purple blood, would paint him as someone who doesn't view anyone beneath him as important to the "plot," but with what we know of him in Friendsim and how he earlier seems to not just believe, but know intrinsically that Joey is going to find some way to get onto the train, it speaks more to him having a meta-understanding of how this is meant to go down, how extremely literally "no one who matters to the plot is going to die." Thinking on how he has Chahut hold Xefros hostage in order to coerce Joey into this game, but as soon as Baizli leaves in order to force a confrontation with Joey, Marvus releases Xefros. Thinking about how it is Baizli whose death is, again, unavoidable. Baizli who is half of a full troll with Barzum, a pair that together make up a Tragicomedy theme, with him wearing the tragedy mask. Always, up to this point, from the troll call to the Friendsim to this game, he has been with Barzum, but he chooses to approach and claim he's going to kill Joey before she can kill any of them-by himself. Pointedly ignoring Joey when she asks where Barzum is. Baizli, whose sign (according to the extended zodiac) is associated with the Doom aspect, which has a description written up specifically advising "they're fate's chosen sufferers," who are "not necessarily noble martyrs." Baizli who we know is acrobatic and extremely durable, potentially enough where maybe we could have theorized that he didn't actually die, he just slipped out of sight under the carriage, if it weren't for the fact that the game explicitly makes us look at the exact moment of his death, his decapitation from the Chekhov's gun that was the bloodied spike pit just outside of the Purple car.
Decapitated by the spikes, specifically. Not impaled.
Thinking about how explicitly Barzum provides clear auditory and visual evidence that something is wrong, that her link with Baizli is severed and how excruciating that is, how that's all the proof that Chahut needs that Joey actually killed someone this time. Thinking about how Barzum wails about her head, his head, "our head." How in the silhouette of the troll call before the Soleil's reveal it was just one troll. How in the Friendsim the two advise that they are one mind, with two bodies. Thinking about how Chahut specifically says that Joey had made the best choice, out of all of them. From Chahut's perspective it's clear that she says that as it was the most entertaining one, with how she is getting to experience Barzum's reaction. Thinking on how that could mean a lot more than what she may be aware of.
for the record i already have a ride-or-die intersex headcanon for a hiveswap character, but since there's always room for one (or two) more, i'll say that barzum and baizli are also intersex because of their purple and yellow motif. btw
And finally, purple blood icons from hiveswap act 2! Free to use if not on my dni
It's one of the olive signs, I'm pretty sure there's two trolls with that sign in Hiveswap era.
We also have two trolls born from the same egg, identical twins, with different signs.
Do note that the Twins' Signs are the same, but mirrored, so you could also argue it's the Same Sign in-Universe, even if they're two different ones in the Ezodiac. Specially considering how common Sprite-Flipping is in Homestuck as a gag.
I did go through all of the bg Trolls in the Olive Car in Hiveswap though, and I didn't se anything repeating at all, though. :o Though there's two Trolls who didn't have a visible sign, unless they show it moving during a cutscene or something.

these guys all spill out of a comically undersized car and raze your village to the ground, slaughtering your friends and family and leaving you alone as their harsh laughter and the honks from squeeze bulb horns fade into the distance. truly clownish behavior.
