❣ (brian)
anger coursed though amelia’s veins as she looked up at the broken boy. tears welling in her eyes as she grew even more frustrated by the second. she could see it in his face — the torment, the confusion, the loss. he was torn between the good and the bad, edging toward what was wrong. she was trying to push him back, make him see the light, but the more she insisted, the more she could feel him slipping from her fingers. it was useless and amelia knew it but it didn’t stop her from trying. it was a conversation they’d had time and time again. a topic that had torn them apart once before and now had them in the middle of the room fighting. but amelia didn’t care. she would fight, she’d fight till she had no more fight left in her if it meant not losing him. he was the one person she refused to lose, she WOULDN’T lose him. she was crying now. tears streaming down her face as she tried to keep herself as composed as she could. she was terrified and all she could do was try to reason with him using words. "you can’t do this. you can’t pick them, you can’t choose the wrong side. PLEASE !!” she begged, “you know this. i know you know this !! i know you don’t want to do this, so don’t. brian, PLEASE, just stop for a second and think. think about what it’ll do to you. it’ll break you. you won’t be able to come back from it. you won’t—” amelia’s frantic plea interrupted mid-sentence as her breath was caught in between a kiss. his hand cupping her face as amelia froze, her body and mind suddenly enthralled by the boy. she didn’t dare move a muscle, instead closing her eyes as she savored the moment. as the boy pulled away, one hand moved to his chest as she kept her forehead pressed to his. “please, don’t.”
