Join me in exploring the USW Hydrogen Research Centre in Baglan, near Port Talbot. The facility is run by USW researchers to advance hydrogen fuel research in the whole of Wales and in the UK. Access to the site can be through by bus or by train.
In this video, I was joined by Dr. Stephen Carr and Dr. Jon Maddy, both researchers of the facility and also my lecturers in Hydrogen: Fuel Vector for the Future module. Dr. Carr is also one of my lecturers in the Advanced Materials for Energy Applications module.
The facility now caters to commercial customers, with the South Wales Fire Brigade as one of their recent partners. Efforts are on their way to improve and upgrade the systems there.
