Spaulding and West Cermak Road: This sidewalk is on the corner of South of Spaulding Avenue & West Cermak Road. The sidewalk is tilted and has a part of it that is lower than the rest of the sidewalk. This could be a real issue for people with wheelchairs and walkers or canes.

Intersection of Morgan and Sangamon Streets: This sidewalk is extremely damaged and unsafe. It comes right after a dog park where many families walk with their pets and children. It is hazardous and should be looked into. There is a pet store right opposite it as well as many apartments making it a busy sidewalk and street.

430 S. Halsted St.: This part of the path that connects commuters from the CTA blue line to uic have been covered up in cones and hasn’t been fixed since the start of August of 2023

840 W. Jackson Blvd.: Located just outside of residential spaces recently built in Greektown, this sidewalk seems to have been damaged by construction. Not only does this sidewalk square have deep cracks that cart, stroller, and wheelchair wheels can easily get stuck in, but there also is an exposed plank from the building’s construction. The uneven surface poses a possible tripping hazard for pedestrians, especially on a busy street like Jackson Blvd.

1443 W. Taylor St.: This sidewalk is located right outside of a Park Chicago Lot on Taylor Street near the University of Illinois at Chicago. There is a large hole in the sidewalk that could be especially dangerous to those traveling on wheels. Those using wheelchairs, scooters, skateboards, etc. may find themselves moved off course because of this hole.

126 Jackson Bus Stop: just before the bus stop at the corner of West Jackson Blvd and South Morgan Street, there is a particularly egregious chunk of sidewalk that features a hole with both impressive depth and width. Additionally, looking at the sidewalk before and after this hole there are signs of deep cracking forming which will likely result in further obstructions in the future.

2335 W. Medill Ave.: This sidewalk is on the left side of Blackhawk Park and has many cracks, small potholes and unevenness. This can be dangerous for anyone riding a skateboard, a bike or scooter. If someone doesn't pay attention, they may stumble or trip on the sidewalk and may cause injury.

Joliet’s Springwood South Subdivision: This topsy-turvy sidewalk in a busy neighborhood is clearly un-leveled and has shifted over the years. This neighborhood is home to many elderly people and families with small children, and hazards like these can make it difficult and dangerous when pushing strollers and wheelchairs. The sidewalk’s higher sides can also make it easy to trip and fall while walking.
